BMW M2 TUNING
The M2 is powered by a turbocharged 3.0 litre BMW N55B30 straight-six engine producing 272 kW (370 PS; 365 hp) at 6,500 rpm and having a redline of 7,000 rpm. Torque is listed at 465 N⋅m (343 lb⋅ft) between 1,400–5,560 rpm, while an overboost function can increase torque to 500 N⋅m (369 lb⋅ft) between 1,450–4,750 rpm. The engine utilises a twin scroll turbocharger.
At GCAP we have designed a package to further refine the German sports car's character with a few simple modifications.
We can offer a variety of exhaust systems for the M2. We recommend brands such as Remus, Milltek, Scorpion and Akrapovič.
A simple plug-and-play system offers a superb addition to improve the performance of the BMW M2.
Carbon-fibre/ Matt black/ Polished tailpipes give an added look to the rear of the M2, to display its sporting potential. Performance can be further increased with the addition of the optional downpipes, which can be purchased with or without cats. To set off the system to its visual best, optional parts are also available.
We use a Wagner intercooler to upgrade the turbo cooling on the M2. The high performance intercooler core provides a 68% larger frontal area and 90% more volume compared to the stock mounted intercooler. Wagner's engineers have increased the intercooler core size and efficiency, as well as improved the end tank design to remove any OEM bottlenecks, resulting in increased flow rating and charge cooling properties.
Despite of it´s size the weight of the complete intercooler is only 8,6kg. Constructed of the highest quality Tube Fin intercooler cores with inside turbulators combined with cast aluminum endtanks optimized by CFD for best possible internal airflow. This intercooler kit is the best choice when it comes to performance gains and low intake temperatures.
By replacing the factory air filter element with a high flow performance filter from the likes of Pipercross, allows the car to breath better, particularly when tuning. The high flow filter is washable (so can be refreshed with a service) and carries no extra noise.
To further increase performance, we recommend a full induction system with a cone filter and a larger bore inlet pipe. Such brands as Eventuri and BMS offer fantastic looking induction kits which boost performance even further.
We have developed our own software to increase the cars performance. This comes in two forms. A stage 1 map (I.E. a software only calibration with no hardware changes) and a stage 2 (with our turbo back exhaust system).

When tuning we measure afr, ignition timing, intake temps, EGTs etc. to ensure our tune is as safe and reliable as possible whilst drawing the most out of your supercar.
As with most BMWs, the brake system is excellent. However we can offer modified braided brakes lines. Our lines have a stronger wall density delivering a more precise and accurate brake pedal feel. This translates into more confidence in your sports car.
