BMW M3 E9x TUNING
Similar to the previous M3 generations that introduced a new engine, the fourth generation M3 did the same: the BMW S65 V8 engine. The engine produces 309 kW; 420 PS (414 bhp) at 8,300 rpm, with peak torque of 400 N⋅m (295 lb⋅ft) at 3,900 rpm.
At GCAP Performance we have a few hardware and software modifications to help boost the power on your M3.
We use an Akrapovič exhaust system on our tuning packages for this vehicle.
The Evolution performance exhaust system for the BMW M3 consists of dual-outlet mufflers, flow-optimized link pipes, and an X-pipe that incorporates high-flow 100 cpsi sports catalytic convertors and resonators. The power and torque gains of the BMW M3 with the Evolution system are just amazing. A substantial increase is detected over a very wide rpm range, and so it increases responsiveness during all phases of driving. Together with incredible weight savings, the Evolution system dramatically changes the power-to-weight ratio. Our goal was to design a system that delivers a deep, rich growl at cruising speeds while also allowing the driver to enjoy an aggressive roar when driving hard. Complete the look with a set of two exquisite tailpipes in titanium or carbon fibre.
We have developed our own software to increase the cars performance. This comes in two forms. A stage 1 map (I.E. a software only calibration with no hardware changes) and a stage 2 (with our Akrapovič exhaust system).
When tuning we measure afr, ignition timing, intake temps, EGTs etc. to ensure our tune is as safe and reliable as possible whilst drawing the most out of your supercar.
We have seen gains up to 430bhp.
As with most BMWs, the brake system is excellent. However we can offer modified braided brakes lines. Our lines have a stronger wall density delivering a more precise and accurate brake pedal feel. This translates into more confidence in your sports car.
