FERRARI 360 TUNING
The Ferrari 360 is a two-seater, mid-engine, rear wheel drive sports car manufactured by Italian automotive manufacturer Ferrari from 1999 to 2005. It succeeded the Ferrari F355 and was replaced by the Ferrari F430 in 2005.
The new V8 engine, utilizes a 3.6 litre capacity, flat plane crankshaft, titanium connecting rods and generates 395 hp (400 PS; 295 kW). Despite what on paper, looked like modest gains, in reality, the power-to-weight ratio was significantly improved on over the F355, due to the combination of both reduction in weight and more power. According to Ferrari weight was reduced by 60 kg and the 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration time improved from 4.7 to 4.5 seconds
At GCAP we have designed a package to further refine the Italian supercars character with a few simple modifications.
We use a Capristo exhaust system for our tuning packages on this vehicle,
The Capristo Twin Sound Sports Exhaust System for the Ferrari F360 Modena, with valves, is made from 1.4828 (T309) stainless steel, polished.
This Twin Sound System features an exhaust valve control and allows for greater performance and exhaust note. Based on the success of the standard Capristo high performance system, they have now manufactured an exhaust that also features a valve that opens at high RPM ranges to allow even greater exhaust flow.
The result is an aggressive exhaust sound. With the valve closed, the exhaust still offers a more aggressive exhaust note over the stock system and can be compared to the Capristo Sound Level 1 system. But when the valves are open, the exhaust sound is dramatically enhanced and becomes louder than the Capristo Sound Level 3 (comparable with the Challenge Stradale).
This new Twin Sound design offers the less aggressive sound at lower RPMs with the race inspired exhaust note at open throttle. The Twin Sound System is available in standard configuration, which opens the valve automatically at higher RPMs. You can also opt for a wireless remote unit which opens or closes the valves at the discretion of the driver.
- Sports catalytic converter, without heat protection, 200 cells
- Sports catalytic converter, with heat protection, 200 cells
- Catalyst spare pipe
- Optional remote control unit (open/close) with key fob
We have developed our own software to increase the cars performance. This comes in two forms. A stage 1 map (I.E. a software only calibration with no hardware changes) and a stage 2 (with our Capristo exhaust system).
When tuning we measure afr, ignition timing, intake temps, EGTs etc. to ensure our tune is as safe and reliable as possible whilst drawing the most out of your supercar.
We have seen gains up to 430bhp.
As with most Ferraris, the brake system is excellent. However we can offer modified braided brakes lines. Our lines have a stronger wall density delivering a more precise and accurate brake pedal feel. This translates into more confidence in your supercar.
