FERRARI 488 TUNING
The 488 GTB is powered by a 3.9 litre all-aluminum dry sump unit of the Ferrari F154 V8 engine family. It is a turbocharged engine using two parallel ball-bearing twin-scroll turbochargers supplied by Honeywell and two air-to-air intercoolers, the turbine wheels are made of low-density TiAl alloy often used in jet engines to reduce inertia and resist high temperatures within the turbocharger. The engine produces 661 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 760 N⋅m (561 lb⋅ft) of torque at 3,000 rpm.
At GCAP we have designed a package to further refine the Italian supercars character with a few simple modifications.
We offer a range of uprated exhaust systems from manufacturers such as Quicksilver, iPE, Fi-Exhaust and Akrapovic.
All exhausts are hand made, use the very best in materials and offer both performance and sound upgrades.
We offer decat downpipes, sport/race cats and backbox systems. Customers can choice which part of the system to upgrade (either part or complete), to suit their needs.
We have developed our own software to increase the cars performance. This comes in two forms. A stage 1 map (I.E. a software only calibration with no hardware changes) and a stage 2 (with our Akrapovic exhaust system).
When tuning we measure afr, ignition timing, intake temps, EGTs etc. to ensure our tune is as safe and reliable as possible whilst drawing the most out of your supercar.
We have seen gains up to 780bhp.
