The 3.8-litre unit found in the 911 GT3 is replaced with a 4.0-litre unit with 500 hp (370 kW) and 339 lb ft (460 N·m) of torque. The transmission is PDK only. The drivetrain delivers 0-62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.4 seconds (0.6 seconds quicker than the 997 GT3 RS 4.0) and 0-124 mph (200 km/h) in 10.9 seconds. The 991 GT3 RS also comes with functions such as declutching by "paddle neutral" comparable to pressing the clutch with a conventional manual gearbox and Pit Speed limiter button.


As with the 911 GT3, there is rear-axle steering and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus with fully variable rear axle differential lock. 

At GCAP we have designed a package to further refine the German supercars character with a few simple modifications.


We use a Quicksilver exhaust system on our tuning packages for this vehicle.

We found that the original manifolds & catalysts are very hard to improve on - unless you wish to remove the catalysts altogether, which would have further issues. 

The rear silencer is the easiest to change but the OE design is also pretty hard to beat.  It is light and has an impressive internal design that allows two paths, loud & quiet.  This component also includes a built-in balance to promote the shriek at 9000 rpm. 

QuickSilver used to list a pipe assembly to replace the rear silencer but have now deleted it.

We liaise with Porsche Motorsport in the UK and learned that, in Europe, the various Carrera Cup cars all run the OE rear silencer - it works extremely well, it is light enough (until last year they were using the Titanium version from the RS but this year have reverted to the stainless version as the weight saving was only a couple of pounds), it forms part of the rear crash-zone (regularly used on race cars) and is easy & relatively cheap to replace.


Our custom tune on these bumps power up to 530bhp. We focus on fine tuning the throttle response and mid range torque. This means the car will pick up quickly low end and continue to deliver body shaking power up to 9000rpm.


As with most Porsche, the brake system is excellent. However we can offer modified braided brakes lines. Our lines have a stronger wall density delivering a more precise and accurate brake pedal feel. This translates into more confidence in your supercar.
